The man of the house picked up our CSA share last night. Thankfully there were no beets (or okras, or avocados, or sweet potatoes). Anyway, here's the official haul:
- carrots (purple ones!)
- leeks
- parsley
- acorn squash (not pictured, we're already eating it)
- cucumbers
- hot peppers (habanero and jalapeno)
- kale
- bok choy
- sweet peppers
- lettuce
I've got some ideas about what to do with most of this stuff. But, oh lord, the tomatoes! I'm going to drown in tomatoes. I don't eat raw tomatoes (too similar to fly larvae) and my gentleman caller gets acid reflux from cooked or raw ones. We have about 30 tomatoes now and I don't know what to do with them. Tomato soup?
No soup...make spaghetti sauce!
